Montreal Canadiens Organization Announce Personnel Move and the Return of Forward Jacob Perreault
In the last few minutes, the Montreal Canadiens announced a personnel move involving forward Jacob Perreault.
We had been anticipating the return of the young Perreault, acquired in a trade with the Anaheim Ducks last season, and now it’s confirmed.
Jacob Perreault joins the Laval Rocket as reinforcements
Perreault, who was technically still with the Montreal Canadiens (on the injured list), has just officially been assigned to the Laval Rocket in the American Hockey League.
This means reinforcements are coming for new head coach Pascal Vincent, and the personnel move has been confirmed by the Montreal Canadiens organization.
There’s about to be some serious competition in the Rocket’s offense, especially with the arrival of Alex Barré-Boulet.
Let’s not forget, Jacob Perreault is a first-round pick from the 2020 NHL Draft (by the Anaheim Ducks) and is only 22 years old.
Perreault, a native of Montreal, is a 5-foot-11, 192-pound forward who racked up 20 points in the American Hockey League in 2023-2024.
Do you think he’s still a good prospect for the Canadiens? It’s worth noting that he was acquired in exchange for Jan Mysak.
A situation to keep an eye on.
