Ohio State’s $1 Million Dollar QB Commit Set to Revolutionize Buckeyes’ Future

National Signing Day proved to be a much-needed bright spot for the No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes, following a disappointing loss to the Michigan Wolverines that ended their regular season on a sour note. While the loss to Michigan still stings, Wednesday was a day for celebration, as the Buckeyes secured several young, talented recruits poised to change the program’s trajectory.

Among the most notable signings is quarterback Tavien St. Clair, a highly touted prospect in the Class of 2025, ranked as the No. 2 player and QB nationally, according to 247Sports, with a remarkable NIL valuation of $1 million heading into college which ranks 4th among High School prospects, according to On3. St. Clair is the first Ohio native quarterback to commit to the Ohio State University since Joe Burrow, and has been very vocal on his love for Columbus and the Buckeyes.

“I bleed Scarlet and Gray … This means more to me than just the game of football. This is a way of life for me and it’s been that way since I was a little kid.” St. Clair said on Wednesday.

St. Clair is expected to revolutionize Ohio State’s quarterback position, an area that has seen some instability in recent seasons with quarterbacks like Will Howard and Kyle McCord, who both have struggled to perform under pressure.

Prior to this stretch, Ohio State was known for developing top-tier quarterbacks who went on to become first-round NFL draft picks-names like Justin Fields, C.J. Stroud, and Dwayne Haskins Jr. With St. Clair, Ohio State is once again landing a quarterback with immense potential, a player capable of restoring the program’s quarterback legacy. The future is bright for the Buckeyes, and St. Clair couldn’t have been more excited to join the ranks. His message upon signing was brief but filled with determination: “I’m Coming.”
