Dodgers Remain Favorites for Teoscar Hernandez, But Blue Jays, Red Sox, Yankees, 2 New Teams Involved: Sources

The Los Angeles Dodgers remain the favorites to sign Teoscar Hernández in free agency, but there are now six teams involved in the sweepstakes, Dodgers Nation’s Doug McKain has learned.

The Toronto Blue Jays, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, and Cincinnati Reds are all involved, with the Blue Jays being the current second place team behind L.A. The Red Sox are a distant third.

The Yankees are not prioritizing Hernández as much, as they seek a left-handed bat to replace Juan Soto. Moreover, the Phillies and Reds have recently checked in, but not much progress has been made, per sources.
