Bournemouth ‘very interested’ in player – Club can open door for late exit as Cherries offer could be tempting

AFC Bournemouth want to make a move for Barcelona’s Pablo Torre in the winter market.

That’s according to Saturday’s edition of Sport, and they explain Bournemouth are ‘very interested’ in Torre.

Andoni Iraola has been an admirer of the midfielder from his time at Rayo Vallecano. He tried to sign him at Rayo Vallecano and now aims to bring the midfielder to the Vitality Stadium late in this window.

Last summer, Bournemouth signed Julián Araujo from Barcelona and the two clubs have good relationship. The newspaper states the Cherries have now contacted the Catalan club to sign Torre.

His contract lasts until 2026 and is limited to 373 minutes from 13 games this season. He clocked in less than 60 minutes in the league since the end of October.

The report states Barca could open the door for his exit as they have several midfielders in the squad.

Bournemouth intend on securing the 21-year-old’s services on loan with an option to buy. There’s no mention of any figures, while Sport adds the Premier League club could include a buyback option for Barcelona.

Barcelona can lower their wage bill by offloading Torre and could potentially earn a fee in the summer. Bournemouth offering a buyback clause could even tempt them to sanction a move in this window.
