Alex Bregman says it’s an honor to be Rafael Devers’ teammate
The Red Sox had early controversy on their hands when Rafael Devers admitted he didn’t want to move off third base to be the team’s designated hitter even if it meant having Alex Bregman play third base.
Bregman, who signed with the Red Sox earlier this month, won a Gold Glove at the hot corner last season while Devers continued to struggle with his defense.
There is still over a month until Opening Day and the roster has yet to be set. But Bregman isn’t thinking about where he’ll be playing and he’s not trying to take away anyone’s position.
