The Titans’ eagerly anticipated return of wide receiver Treylon Burks will take place against the Colts.
Treylon Burks, a wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans, suffered a scary injury in Week 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Burks has missed the last three weeks due to a concussion, but it appears like he is ready to return to the field. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Burks is anticipated to play against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 13.

With Treylon Burks back, Tennessee’s passing offense has a serious danger.
With Burks back in the receiving group, rookie quarterback Will Levis—who replaced Ryan Tannehill following his ankle injury—should benefit greatly. With six touchdowns to just two interceptions in his first five appearances, Levis has done fairly well. Titans record in those contests is 2-3.

Because of his injuries, Burks hasn’t had much chance to get to know Levis in-game. Following his catastrophic concussion against the Steelers, Burks had to be taken off the field. He has been rehabbing for the past few weeks.

Treylon Burks was expected to be the Titans’ breakout player this season, but because of injuries and a subpar passing game, he hasn’t been able to create any kind of sustained momentum. Burks has only caught 8 passes for 122 yards this season, with no touchdowns for Tennessee.

The Titans selected Burks with the 18th overall choice in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. In his first 16 games of play, Burks has racked up 41 receptions for 566 yards and one touchdown.

We’ll see if Burks’ concussion recovery can ignite Tennessee’s passing game in a pivotal AFC South matchup with the Indianapolis Colts in Week 13.
