CLEVELAND, Ohio —The Browns could look to shake up the running back room during the offseason. Contracts will come into play, as everyone wants their share of the carries on the field.

Nick Chubb is expected to come back, though it’s uncertain how quickly he’ll bounce back from his serious knee injury. So the Browns would want as many bodies in the running back room as possible.

But what if the Browns were to target a running back in the upcoming NFL Draft? If they were to, who would be best to target?

There’s Texas’ Jonathan Brooks, the second-team All-Big-12 running back who finished with 1,139 yards (29th in FBS) on 187 carries with 10 touchdowns.

From the Pac-12 is Oregon’s Bucky Irving, the second-team All-Pac-12 selection who carried the ball 186 times for 1,180 yards (25th in FBS) and 11 touchdowns.

Lastly is Wisconsin’s Braelon Allen, the back who was a second-team All-Big-10 selection in all three seasons at Wisconsin. Allen finished with 181 carries for 984 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Each of these players fit the youth of the running back room, and proved to be productive in the college game.
