Fabrizio Romano reveals mounting interest in Hull City star
Jaden Philogene has impressed this term – and it’s no surprise that he is now attracting interest from elsewhere.
Hull City star Jaden Philogene is attracting interest from teams in the Premier League and across Europe, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.
Philogene has been one of many impressive signings for the Tigers during the previous couple of transfer windows, with the Tigers having the pull that some other clubs don’t possess in the Championship.
However, you can see why the Tigers have managed to bring some excellent players in.
Liam Rosenior is a very talented young coach who has managed to keep his team around the promotion mix at this point – and owner Acun Ilicali is a very ambitious man who is keen to take the club back to the Premier League.
And as more talented players have joined the East Yorkshire side, others have been prepared to join.
Philogene came in during the summer, sealing a permanent move away from Aston Villa in the process, along with Cameron Archer and Aaron Ramsey who also left Villa Park during the summer transfer window.
These permanent departures came as a bit of a surprise to some Villa fans, but their loss in terms of Philogene has been Hull’s gain, with the attacker continuing to impress at the MKM Stadium.
Premier League and European interest in Jaden Philogene
Romano believes teams in the English top flight are keen on him, although the clubs that are keen remain unidentified in this update.
However, the same journalist also revealed that teams across multiple European leagues are keeping an eye on the 22-year-old, who could potentially be the subject of bids during the next window.
Romano believes he is one to watch but with his contract not expiring until the summer of 2026, the Tigers are in a very strong negotiating position if offers are submitted for the player.
Hull City must take a strong stance on Jaden Philogene
With Philogene still having three years left on his deal during the next window, Hull should not be looking to sell him on the cheap.
If anything, they should be looking to do everything in their power to try and keep him at the MKM Stadium for as long as possible.
The 22-year-old has made a remarkable impact in Yorkshire and that isn’t a surprise considering how highly rated he was at Villa before his switch to Hull.

His excellent rabona goal against Rotherham United is likely to have attracted some teams to the winger, although that hasn’t been his only moment of magic during the 2023/24 campaign.
In terms of Philogene’s stance, he just needs to keep his head down and maintain consistency.
