Report: Serie A club could sell Spurs target for less than £19m

According to Il Messaggero, AS Roma might be prepared to sell Tammy Abraham for a cut-price fee this summer as Tottenham and other Premier League clubs circle over the striker.

Should Tottenham sign Tammy Abraham?

Tottenham’s interest in Abraham came to light last week when TEAMtalk reported that Spurs could offer the former Chelsea man a route back to the Premier League this season.

The report claimed that Roma are prepared to cash in on the centre-forward after an injury-hit season and that Spurs, who are on the lookout for a striker, may be tempted to make a move for the player.

Spurs currently have the likes of Richarlison, Heung-min Son, Alejo Veliz, Dane Scarlett, and Troy Parrott as striker options in North London.

Competition heats up for Tammy Abraham

Il Messaggero have also said that the Giallorossi are prepared to cash in on Abraham if the right offer comes their way.

It is explained that while the Serie A side value the England international at around €30m (£25.2m), they would be prepared to sell him for a few of around €22m-€25m (£18.5m-£21m) this summer.

However, if Roma are unable to offload the striker, it is revealed that they would be ready to offer him a new deal since his current contract runs out in 2026.

The publication also adds that Tottenham have been joined in the race for Abraham’s signature by West Ham, Aston Villa and Everton.

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham should be looking to sign a striker of a higher calibre than Abraham, particularly if Richarlison is to depart in the summer. The Roma star would arguably not be an upgrade on the Brazilian.
