Philadelphia Eagles Urged To Sign Star To End Huge 2024 Offseason

Philadelphia Eagles Parry Nickerson

The Philadelphia Eagles have put together an impressive offseason. Howie Roseman was not playing around when it came to trying to build the franchise back into a Super Bowl contender for the 2024 NFL season.

While they have had a great offseason already and most of the roster moves have calmed down, there is still a lot of talent available in free agency. Could the Eagles consider dipping their toes into the market again?

Philadelphia Eagles Urged To Sign Star To End Huge 2024 Offseason

To round out the offseason, Bleacher Report has urged the Philadelphia Eagles to sign free agent star safety Justin Simmons.

“Philadelphia is (Justin Simmons’) best fit. Philadelphia really is where I think he will end up. Why he isn’t there yet? I don’t know. I wish I did and I wish I had answers for you guys but I don’t know why he hasn’t been signed yet.”

Simmons isn’t even the only free agent safety that should be starting for an NFL team. Quandre Diggs is also still a free agent. The safety market has been very strange this offseason.

If the Eagles were to sign Simmons, he would be an instant impact player. He has been a star for years with the Denver Broncos.

Looking back at last season, Simmons put together another monstrous season. He ended up with 70 total tackles, a sack, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, three interceptions, and eight defended passes.

Those numbers don’t just deserve to be signed. They deserve to be starting. Philadelphia could offer him a key role on a team that looks good enough on paper to compete for a championship.

All of that being said, it will be interesting to see if the Philadelphia Eagles make another impact move. Simmons would be a great fit, but no reports have actually connected the two parties.
