The Detroit Lions’ offensive line has been forced to reshuffle midway through their Week 13 game against the New Orleans Saints. Center Frank Ragnow left the game with an apparent knee injury after the Saints cut Detroit’s lead to 21-7. Ragnow’s return is in doubt, according to the Lions. The skilled center required assistance off the court from Detroit’s medical personnel.
Ragnow was carried to the locker room for additional evaluation after awkwardly going to the sideline. As a result, veteran Graham Glasgow has moved to center, while rookie Colby Sorsdal has taken over at right guard. Jonah Jackson has missed time this season due to injuries. Detroit’s offense struggled against the Packers in his absence. Ben Johnson, the offensive coordinator, had confidence that the unit would respond positively this week against the Saints.
“I’m confident that our boys will respond admirably. It wasn’t the best game we’ve played in the first half in a long time; in fact, it was near the bottom of the list. “They are aware of this,” Johnson stated. “And really, I think it showed up more on critical situations, some of those fourth downs Jared (Goff) getting hit, third downs Jared getting hit, and clearly, we don’t want any of that, so we’re going to clean that up upfront.”

Both David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs have been instrumental in Detroit’s rapid start, helping the team set a record that hasn’t been broken since 1936.
