Matt LaFleur Issues Serious Challenge to Green Bay Packers After Upset of Chiefs

The Green Bay Packers made a statement with their epic Week 13 win over the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday. Matt LaFleur, however, doesn’t want his players to be complacent after beating the reigning champions.

After all, as LaFleur said, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done for the Packers to prove that they are legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

In a one-on-one interview with Packers reporter Larry McCarren, LaFleur opened up about the team’s 27-19 victory over the Chiefs and how important it is to them. While the veteran head coach was full of compliments for his quad’s performance, calling it a “great team win,” he emphasized that the season doesn’t end there.

“That was a great team win. Every face, obviously, had a significant impact on the game. So proud of our guys. I  feel like we’re coming together as a football team, and we’re getting better and better and better,” LaFleur shared when asked about the Packers’ wire-to-wire game and win over the Chiefs.

“But we got to continue to prove it, because it’s only one game. That is a damn good football team. Got a lot of respect for their coaches and players,” the Packers coach added.
