Breaking: Reactions are sparked by the Miami Dolphins’ unexpected remark on Tyreek Hill’s availability in the hours before the Cowboys game.

REPORT: Miami Dolphins Shift Tone On Tyreek Hill’s Availability Hours Before Cowboys Game

Tyreek Hill Heading to the Dolphins Locker Room With an Injury

The Miami Dolphins have shifted their tone Saturday night on Tyreek Hill’s status for their game against the Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Eve. The Dolphins listed Hill as questionable to play the Cowboys on their injury report Friday after a video appeared on social media showing Hill limping at practice.

With Hill’s permission, the Dolphins kept the star wide receiver and NFL MVP candidate out of their Week 15 contest against the New York Jets. The Dolphins wanted to take precautions to make sure Hill didn’t further damage his ankle with a month to go before the playoffs.

Hill made it to warm-ups before he was ruled out against the Jets.

Tyreek Hill Injury Update: Dolphins Star WR Impacted by Ankle Issue

The Dolphins’ philosophy of sitting Hill for precautionary reasons seems to have changed in Week 16. According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, the Dolphins, like last week, will ensure Hill feels okay to play before turning in their inactive list. But the Dolphins are optimistic he can play the Cowboys.

The video that surfaced Friday showed Hill’s ankle isn’t back to normal. But the Dolphins are more willing to risk an injury against a playoff contender like the Cowboys than they were against the lowly Jets.

Is Hill’s ankle that much better? Or do the Dolphins view Sunday’s matchup as a game they need to win to help them clinch the AFC East and help their playoff seeding against a tougher opponent where Hill can make the difference?

We could find out the answer on the field Sunday. The Dolphins will hope playing Hill on Christmas Eve won’t hurt them in the new year.
