Sources like the Daily Mail are jumping on the story that Spurs are in talks with the attacker, who received a bid from Chelsea in the summer. He ended up staying at Club Brugge, where he’s carried on his impressive form from last season.
His club are said to want £25m, plus a loan back for the Norway international until the end of the season. That seems cheap, compared to what we were paying for wingers a year ago.
It would be a real shame to miss out on this talent and watch him tearing it up at Spurs now. Let’s hope that our sporting directors still have a trick or two up their sleeves – although perhaps that’s asking too much.
