3 Raptors Players Reportedly Drawing Trade Interest
The NBA trade deadline is nearly here and multiple teams are going to make some significant changes in the days and weeks ahead.
The Toronto Raptors have been very busy over the last couple of weeks but most analysts agree that they might not be done.
According to Shams Charania, via Evan Sidery, multiple Raptors players are gaining interest from other teams across the league.
Those players are Gary Trent Jr., Dennis Schroder, and newcomer Bruce Brown.
Additionally, it is being reported that “Brown’s market is expected to be ‘significant’ from various contenders.”
Brown has only been with the Raptors for a matter of days, coming to Toronto after the big trade that sent Pascal Siakam to the Indiana Pacers.
Just last season, Brown was an important part of the Denver Nuggets’ championship run.
He would definitely fit in with multiple teams throughout the league and could get the Raptors a big return.
As for Trent and Schroder, it is surprising to see the Raptors contemplating parting ways with them.
Trent has been with Toronto for years now and is currently averaging 11.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.
Trent is starting in fewer games and playing fewer minutes, so it seems that the Raptors are starting to envision a future without him.
As for Schroder, this is his first season with the Raptors and he is putting up 14.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game.
The guard has been on many teams and has had a varying degree of success at each of them.
The 10-year veteran could also generate some intense interest from other franchises.
