Justin Jefferson Will Sign With This NFC West Team According To Bold Trade Proposal

Vikings superstar Justin Jefferson cleared to return after missing nearly 2 months with hamstring injury | Fox News

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has been one of if not the league’s best receivers for the last few years. He has been the pinnacle of the Vikings’ offense since joining and has already broken several NFL records. While Jefferson is just entering his prime years in the league, a report done by Bleacher Report speculates that Minnesota could look to deal away Jefferson during the offseason to an NFC West squad to save money for potential rebuilding years coming up.

According to the report, the Arizona Cardinals could go after Jefferson this offseason, which would completely change the outlook of the NFL. The proposal states that the Cardinals would trade a 2024 first-round pick (number 4 overall), a 2025 first-round pick, and a 2024 third-round pick (number 71 overall). While this seems unlikely to happen, Minnesota could consider it since the team looks like they are heading for a rebuild.

Team insider Charley Walters believes that a “full-scale rebuild” will be coming to Minnesota this offseason. He notes that it would not make sense for the Vikings to give Jefferson an extension that would be worth an estimated $30 million a year, especially if the team is expecting to endure some tough seasons ahead during his contract years. Walters thinks that it would be best for the team to look at capitalizing off of the star receiver’s massive trade value.

The Cardinals seem like a great choice as they would likely become very interested if Jefferson were to become available. Arizona has a whopping 13 selections in this year’s draft, and they could look to convert some of their several picks into getting a player of Jefferson’s caliber. With quarterback Kyler Murray leading the offense and a young team with a lot of potential, having the veteran presence of a guy like Jefferson could help boost the team even more.

The Cardinals also had major struggles with their receivers in 2023, with their top pass catcher being tight end Trey McBride, who had just 825 yards and three touchdowns. Having Jefferson in the lineup would help out the struggling Cardinals offense, so Arizona could make the most sense to go after him. Do you think Jefferson will join a new squad in 2024, or will he sign a new extension and remain in Minnesota?
