Cavaliers Trio Makes Franchise History In Win Over Spurs

According to @CavsNotes on X, Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen became the first Cleveland trio to each score at least 25 points while shooting at least 60% from the field in the same game in franchise history.

On Saturday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers continued their recent dominant stretch with a convincing 117-101 road victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

With the win, the Wine and Gold are now on a five-game winning streak, and have won 13 of their last 14 contests.

Offensively, Cleveland was led by a three-headed monster.

According to @CavsNotes on X, Donovan MitchellEvan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen became the first trio in Cavaliers history to each score at least 25 points while shooting at least 60% from the field in the same game.

Mitchell scored a game-high 31 points, while shooting 12-for-20 (60.0%) from the field and 4-for-9 (44.4%) from three-point range. This was his 16th 30-point game of the season.

He also added eight rebounds, and team-highs of seven assists, two steals, and two blocks.

Mobley recorded 28 points, his most since October 28, while shooting 11-for-15 (73.3%) from the field. This was his fifth 20-point game of the season, and first since November 30.

He also had 10 rebounds, three assists, and drained a career-high three three-pointers on just three attempts from beyond the arc.

Allen tallied 26 points, while shooting 12-for-18 (66.7%) from the field. This scoring performance followed his 29-point outing against San Antonio back on January 7.

He also grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds, recording his 17th double-double in the Wine and Gold’s last 18 games.

Defensively, Mobley and Allen played an integral part in holding Spurs rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama to just 5-for-16 (31.3%) from the field, his lowest field-goal percentage since December 6.

Up next, the Cavaliers will return home to host the Sacramento Kings on Monday night at 7 p.m.
