Dodgers To Sign Veteran Reliever: Report

Dodgers Rumors: Justin Wilson Signed To Minor League Contract

The Dodgers have signed another arm to their bullpen, agreeing to a minor-league deal with veteran left-hander Justin Wilson. Robert Murray of FanSided was the one to break the news of the signing between the two sides.

The deal gives Wilson a non-roster invite to Spring Training with the team.

Wilson didn’t pitch in the big leagues last season but did make a few appearances in Triple-A with the Milwaukee Brewers. He appeared in seven games, posting an ERA of 1.42 over 6.1 innings of work.

He began the year on the injured list while recovering from Tommy John surgery that he had in June 2022. Once he was activated in July, he unfortunately suffered an injury to his lat while warming up. He ended up missing the entire rest of the year.

Wilson adds to the Dodgers’ depth in their bullpen and could become a piece to use this year. When he last pitched in the big leagues, he threw 3.2 innings for the Cincinnati Reds, posting an ERA of 2.45.

He will be given a chance to compete for a roster spot and could give them a needed left-handed boost out of the pen. This falls under the low-risk, potentially high-reward category for the Dodgers, and maybe they can find another diamond in the rough from this signin
