Hull City star Jaden Philogene is a man in demand and Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur are now believed to be leading the race to sign him, according to TEAMtalk.
Hull City are well within with a shout of achieving a place in the Championship play-offs this season. With 12 games left to play they find themselves in 6th place in the table and three points ahead of Norwich City in 7th.
One player who has been a key component in their relative successes so far this campaign has been winger Philogene. The 22-year-old has scored eight goals and registered a further six assists in 20 appearances so far this term for the Tigers and is now attracting interest from the top flight.
Reporter Fabrizio Romano previously reported that Premier League sides and European sides were keeping a close eye on the player, but now TEAMtalk state that Tottenham Hotspur are leading the chase to sign him this summer.
A move seems inevitable
With him in form and in demand it seems inevitable that Philogene will depart the MKM Stadium this summer. Sides in Europe’s top divisions as well as the Premier League are monitoring the winger and so should a top side come calling his head could be turned.
However, his stock is rising and so Hull City will likely be increasing their asking price game by game. Should he be sold to Tottenham Hotspur or to another club elsewhere the Tigers are likely to demand a large asking price.
Although Philogene has been a shining light in an already brightly sparkling team so far this season, selling him for a hefty fee will allow Liam Rosenior’s side to reinvest in their side with a number of players. Of course, all may depend on whether they can secure promotion or they spend another season in the second division.
