There could be another future star pitcher in the Baltimore Orioles’ pipeline after a strong showing from one of their youngsters.

The Baltimore Orioles were one of the most talked about rosters heading into the Spring Breakout games.

Because of their loaded farm system, many of their elite prospects were on display when they competed against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Names like Jackson Holliday, Samuel Basallo, Coby Mayo, Enrique Bradfield Jr., and other Top-10 talents headlined the group taking the field for the Orioles.

However, MLB Pipeline thinks that it was a less-heralded player who stole the show.

Baltimore’s No. 17 ranked prospect, Trace Bright, had a great outing when facing some of the best talent that the Pirates had to offer.

Across three innings pitched, he only gave up one run on three hits, striking out four batters with only one walk.

Bright is coming off his first full season of professional baseball, a year in which he was able to reach Double-A.

He put together a season with a 3.97 ERA across 26 appearances and 21 starts. The 23-year-old also showcased a prolific ability to strike people out, posting 147 K’s over 99 2/3 innings pitched.

The right-hander is certainly one to keep an eye on in the Orioles’ farm system.
