Packers RB Josh Jacobs Involved In Minor Dirt Bike Accident
After spending his entire NFL career with the Las Vegas Raiders up to this point, veteran running back Josh Jacobs decided it was time to move on during this offseason, as he agreed to a lucrative long-term deal with the Green Bay Packers, replacing longtime starter Aaron Jones.
Obviously, with the Packers committing $48 million to Jacobs over the next four years, the team hopes he’ll be able to stay healthy and productive while doing nothing off the field to jeopardize his playing status for the 2024 NFL season.
After an incredible 2022 NFL season with the Raiders, in which he rushed for a league-best 1,653 yards and 12 touchdowns, Jacobs regressed last season in Las Vegas, playing in 13 games and rushing for 805 yards and six touchdowns.
Despite the regression and dealing with some injury issues, the Packers were sold on making him their new lead back, but the team might be regretting that decision after seeing this video in which the star running back has a dirt bike accident via Dov Kleiman.
The last thing a professional football team in the NFL wants to see is their newly signed star player acting recklessly off the field, which is clearly what Jacobs was doing here, as it seems not too much thought was put into what he was doing.
It’s safe to say he’ll be getting a call from the Packers brass urging him to take it easy and not risk injury by doing these kinds of things during his offseason, as they’d likely rather see him in the gym.
