Defender looks to be on the way out as Stoke, Forest, West Brom, Birmingham and Sheffield United all could be in the chase.

Leicester manager Enzo Maresca made a point before the Millwall game about rotation, but still did not make a single change in his back four line, and again left Conor Coady out. The use of the England international is one odd situation as we would have thought him and Harry Souttar being part of a rotation this season.

During a 46 game season, you need to keep more bodies fresh, and we do not really understand anything of it, only the factor must be that the player himself is looking for a way out, as we will be surprised to see Coady around for much longer.

Coady, at this point in his career, do need to play regularly and should be given that chance with so many games to play and as we do see with the Leicester squad at the moment, you need to have a plan for a rotation, having the best squad in the league, surely that would have gained the system.

With that in mind, Conor Coady could be on the way out of the club, possibly giving Enzo Maresca a word, as he reflects on it in his selections and earlier been saying that players who wants out can move on. The selection of Ben Nelson earlier in the season, did see him favouring out both Coady and Souttar, as the two proven internationals were overlooked.

Conor Coady was a target for both Sheffield United and Stoke last summer, but decided on a move to Leicester, which at this point looks a strange one, and as Maresca have said, Coady lack pace in the way needed to sprint down opponent attackers when pressing high, but what we did see against Bournemouth, surely was enough to give him more games to start. Forest could also be looking at Conor Coady as a candidate, with former manager at Wolves, Nuno Espirito Santo in charge.

Coady is well established in The Midlands and with that in mind don’t be surprised if Birmingham and West Bromwich also joins the chase when they know their situation at the end of the season.

To see him continue under Enzo Maresca at Leicester would be a bit sensational with the treatment received since joining the club. A hint to look for is the next game, coming up against Plymouth, as Wout Faes would probably do with a pause.

This is also a delicate matter with Leicester having Coady on a contract until June 2026. With everything going on regarding transfer embargos, ffp and different sanctions to be discussed, other players might leave and this could open space to Coady and again give him that playing time he surely deserve.
