Blazers Sign Taze Moore for Season Finale

Philadelphia 76ers v Portland Trail Blazers

The Blazers are getting a one-game reinforcement from the Rip City Remix.

The Portland Trail Blazers have signed guard Taze Moore for “the remainder of the season,” the team announced on X, formerly known as Twitter. If you are an NBA schedule nut, you’ll know that the Blazers’ final game of the season is today against the Sacramento Kings, so Moore’s signing is a glorified one-game rental.

The Blazers had signed Moore to a 10-day contract in January, leading to the 6-foot-5 guard’s only three NBA appearances. During those three games between Jan. 21-29, Moore averaged 2.0 points and 0.3 assists in 3.3 minutes per game.

Moore had a more consistent home with the Blazers’ G League affiliate, the Rip City Remix, this season. In 22 appearances with the club during the 2023-24 season, Moore averaged 15.6 points, 7.1 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game.

So everybody, give a big Rip City welcome to Taze Moore!
