Bruins broadcaster, Jack Edwards announces retirement
(WGGB/WSHM) – Jack Edwards, broadcaster for the Boston Bruins announced his retirement on Tuesday.
The 67-year-old has been the voice of the bruins for nearly two decades.
Edwards announced his retirement plan early Tuesday, ahead of the team’s final regular season game.
He plans to retire once this hockey season wraps up.
In his official statement, Edwards said in part:
“I retire from broadcasting not with a heavy heart, but gratefulness for a 19-year-long joyride…I thank every member of the Bruins and NESN for your loyalty, helping me to achieve and live out a lifetime goal, high above the ice.”
