Cavs: Grading the Jarrett Allen signing on three levels

Jarrett Allen is set to be the centrepiece of fierce negotiations between the Kings, Thunder and Pelicans.

According to NBA analyst Evan Dammarell the Cavaliers former All-Star player will be subject to a move away from Cleveland.

“The general vibe across the league according to sources is that Allen and Garland are the two who could become available for the right price if Mitchell re-signs with the Cavaliers.

“While Allen has been linked to the New Orleans Pelicans for quite a while now, sources tell Right Down Euclid that the Oklahoma City Thunder and Sacramento Kings could be interested in the former All-Star,” the journalist said.

Allen was the 22nd overall pick in the 2017 draft signing with the Nets.

There has been word that players and staff were not happy with Allen after he missed eight playoff games with a rib injury. Speculation is rife the injury was not as bad as Allen made out, causing unhappiness in camp.

He was not on the court for their series defining loss to the Celtics, with his team losing 113-98. Cleveland lost the conference semifinal series 4-1 to a heavily backed Boston team.

Could we have seen the last of Allen in a Cavaliers jersey? The talk is that he is heading out, the question is where?
