£30m Tottenham player set to leave this summer as Premier League trio circles
Tottenham Hotspur are set for a busy summer in the transfer market as Ange Postecoglou looks to bolster his ranks.
Postecoglou guided Spurs to fifth place in the Premier League and a spot in the Europa League for next season.
Tottenham were much improved from the 2022/23 campaign, in which they limped to an eighth-placed finish, and will be eager to kick on in 2024/25.
We’re also likely to see numerous outgoings from Spurs, with some players appearing to have a future away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Now, according to one report, one Spurs player is set to leave in the coming weeks as three Premier League rivals circle for his signature.
According to GiveMeSport, Tottenham wing-back Ryan Sessegnon is on the radar of Ipswich Town, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Crystal Palace.
Sessegnon’s contract expires in June and, though Tottenham hold the option of an extra year, it is believed that he wants to move and Spurs won’t stand in his way.
Tottenham winger Ryan Sessegnon likely to remain in Premier League
Sessegnon has been at Tottenham since 2019, when he joined from Fulham as one of the most exciting youngsters in the English game.
However, the £30million man has clocked up just 57 competitive outings for Tottenham, with injuries hampering his time at N17.
Sessegnon has made just one senior appearance for Spurs this season, a substitute outing in the FA Cup meeting with Burnley in January.
Sadly, it hasn’t worked out for Sessegnon at Tottenham and, with the club having numerous options on the left, it seems as though they’ve moved on.
Hopefully the 24-year-old can rekindle his career elsewhere. Based on the above report, there’s certainly a great chance he’ll stay in the Premier League.
