Update: In a blockbuster deal, the Minnesota Wild send their 22-year-old elite center to the Flyers in return for

Marco Rossi Trade Rumors Have Continued

Scratching Marco Rossi Makes Zero Sense

This summer is going to be an interesting one in Minnesota. The Wild are standing at a crossroads, having not made the playoffs but are starting to see the fruits of their labor on the draft floor. Marat Khusnutdinov has come over and looks like a surefire NHL talent, Liam Ohgren is starting his North American career, and Danila Yurov is most likely going to be here at some point next season.

All of this young talent is now starting to be on the team, but one young center is at the center of trade rumors and his name is Marco Rossi.

The Wild are reportedly open to the idea of trading the 22-year-old center in a “hockey trade” that would simply mean them getting a different young player that they prefer over Rossi. That isn’t particularly clear as to whether or not a deal is going to get done, but Rossi’s name has been recently linked to a couple teams.

According to The Fourth Period’s latest Trade Watch list, the teams that are reportedly interested in acquiring Rossi are the Philadelphia Flyers, Calgary Flames, Utah, Montreal Canadiens, and the Ottawa Senators. An interesting group of teams who certainly could use a young center like Rossi — but the Wild can also, so we’ll see where this goes.
