BREAKING: Ohio State Lands 4-Star Edge

Ohio State has received a commitment from Zion Grady, the number 66-ranked prospect, and 6-ranked edge defender in the 2025 class, per 247 sports. Zion Grady is a 4-star prospect out of Enterprise High School in Enterprise, Alabama. Grady was originally committed to Alabama but re-opened his recruiting following former Alabama head coach Nick Saban’s retirement. With this commitment, Zion Grady joins a long list of defensive line talent recruited by Ohio State defensive line coach Larry Johnson.

Zion Gradey is a versatile athlete on the defensive line and can line up at multiple positions at the line of scrimmage. measuring in at 6’4 235 pounds, Grady is a long athlete who uses his length and explosiveness to create separation when rushing the quarterback.

Although Grady was able to line up at multiple positions in high school, Ohio State will more than likely want him to put on more weight when he gets to Columbus. In the Buckeyes even front Grady will likely play as a traditional defensive end.

In 2023, Zion Grady recorded 87 tackles including 24 tackles for loss and 11 sacks. Grady also forced 3 turnovers himself with 3 forced fumbles and an interception. One of the most productive years for edge rushers in the class.

Zion Grady joins what is ranked as the number 1 ranked recruiting class in the nation on 247 sports. The Ohio State Buckeyes currently have three 5-star, thirteen 4-star, and three 3-star commitments.

The Buckeyes now have three edge commitments in the class, with Zion Grady, Zahir Mathis, and London Merritt.
