Suns sign Northwestern’s all-time leading scorer to Exhibit-10 deal

The Phoenix Suns have signed Northwestern guard Boo Buie to an Exhibit-10 contract.
Buie, 24, is the Wildcats’ all-time leading scorer, amassing 2,187 points over a five-year career. In the 2023-24 season, the 6-foot-2 guard averaged a career-best 19 points on 43.8%/43.4%/85.8% shooting splits, 5.0 assists and 1.4 steals, starting all 34 of Northwestern’s games.
An Exhibit-10 deal is a one-year, minimum salary contract that is non-guaranteed. The Suns have the flexibility to convert the contract to a two-way deal before start of the regular season. Buie will most likely play on Phoenix’s Summer League team and get a chance to prove himself in summer workouts. He could eventually end up suiting up for the Suns’ G League team, the Valley Suns, in their inaugural season this fall.

The Suns currently only have one of their three two-way slots filled after agreeing to terms on one with undrafted Baylor forward Jalen Bridges earlier today.

Phoenix landed Virginia forward Ryan Dunn at No. 28 overall and Marquette big man Oso Ighodaro at No. 40 by orchestrating multiple trades in the draft that now leave the team with two additional future second-round picks.
