Stars Hurt, Frolunda’s Hopes Take A Heavy Hit

Two of Frolunda’s top players Hanna Olsson and Andrea Dahlen will both miss 4-6 weeks after suffering serious injuries this month.

Swedish star Hanna Olsson and Norwegian star Andrea Dahlen will be out for 4-6 weeks after being injured recently in SDHL action with Frolunda.

Last season in the quest to earn promotion for Frolunda, Olsson scored 118 points in only 25 games, while Dahlen notched 97 points in 27 games. The duo alongside Michelle Karvinen were paramount in helping Frolunda reach the SDHL, and in helping Frolunda open their season with five straight wins before dropping their last two games.

Hanna Olsson suffered her injury taking a hit from Lulea’s Petra Nieminen who was assessed a two game suspension for the play.

Since the injuries to the duo, Frolunda has struggled offensively, and their challenge to Lulea and Brynas who annually hold the top spots in SDHL may be hindered, although both players will be back for the second half of the SDHL season and playoffs.
