Real Madrid see £85,000-per-week Tottenham ace as alternative to rival PL superstar
Tottenham Hotspur are undergoing a new project under Ange Postecoglou, one where they not only hope to compete for silverwares but also kiss a few medals; however, their pursuit to greatness has been hampered by Real Madrid constantly targeting their top players.
The Spanish giants have been looking at possibilities to sign multiple Lilywhites players as they look to spoil the pretty party at White Hart Lane. Madrid have well-established links to Spurs centre-half Cristian Romero seeding from the summer window.
And while Madrid have been looking at the Argentine player, new reports have emerged suggesting that Los Blancos are exploring options to bring Spanish full-back Pedro Porro, per CaughOffSide.
Porro a target for Real Madrid as they look for right-back
La Liga giants Real Madrid are looking at the former Sporting Lisbon fullback as a realistic target as they identify the £85,000-per-week player as an alternative to Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander Arnold.
The England international has his contract running through at Anfield Stadium, which has pushed Madrid to consider bringing him to Santiago Bernabeu, and Florentino Perez looks at Trent as the prime target for the right-back position. While the Reds faithful are prioritising a deal to keep Trent, he is in his final year of the contract, and the talks appear to be at a stalemate at the moment.
Madrid are already working in the background to sign Trent; however, they are also looking at possible options if the Reds academy graduate decides to pen down a new contract with his current employers. Manchester United ace Diogo Dalot has been named as a potential target alongside Pedro Porro.
