Vikings sign former second-round pick to practice squad

Vikings Sign Former Cowboys CB Kelvin Joseph to Practice Squad

The Minnesota Vikings saw cornerback Stephon Gilmore suffer a hamstring injury on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. While it may be nothing, he missed practice on Wednesday, and at the same time, the Vikings signed a former second-round pick for the practice squad.

Kelvin Joseph was a second-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 2021, and he has now joined the Vikings after signing to their practice squad.

Joseph played college football at Kentucky and LSU before entering the NFL in 2021. He would be drafted by the Cowboys but was cut after the 2022 season. Over the last two years, Joseph has hopped around the NFL, spending time with the Dolphins, Seahawks, Colts, and Chiefs.

In his career, Joseph has 39 tackles to his credit. He also has one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and four broken-up passes in his career.

We will monitor Gilmore’s health as the week goes on as it may determine whether Vikings fans see Joseph on the field Sunday or not.
