Another LSU football cornerback is reportedly expected to enter the transfer portal
LSU redshirt junior cornerback JK Johnson is expected to enter the transfer portal for the second time in his career, according to multiple reports Monday.
After transferring from Ohio State, Johnson spent two years at LSU. He missed his first season after suffering a fractured leg, then played in 10 games as a backup this season. Johnson made three tackles.
Johnson will have two years of eligibility. He was a top 50 prospect and the No. 3 cornerback in the 2021 class, according to the 247Sports composite.
Johnson, who went to De Smet Jesuit High in St. Louis, appeared in 14 games with five starts in two years at Ohio State before he transferred to LSU.
LSU signed two cornerbacks in five-star DJ Pickett and four-star Aidan Anding. It can also bring back sophomore starter Ashton Stamps, freshman backup PJ Woodland and freshmen Michael Turner and Wallace Foster.
Johnson is the third LSU cornerback to enter the transfer portal, joining junior Jyaire Brown and freshman Bernard Causey.
