Everton prepared to seal permanent deal for Jesper Lindstrom, David Moyes will have final say

Everton are reportedly prepared to trigger the £18.5 million purchase option in Jesper Lindstrom’s loan deal, but the final decision will rest with David Moyes.

According to a report from Football Insider, David Moyes will have the final say on Everton’s bid to make Jesper Lindstrom’s loan move permanent. The Danish international has been putting in impressive performances under the new Toffees boss, and there is a deal ready to be done if the manager gives the green light.

Lindstrom made a name for himself at Eintracht Frankfurt and on the back of his performances, he made the move to Napoli in the summer of 2023. The move to the Serie A outfit did not really go according to plan as he was more of a backup option and only featured in 29 matches.

According to a report from Football Insider, David Moyes will have the final say on Everton’s bid to make Jesper Lindstrom’s loan move permanent. The Danish international has been putting in impressive performances under the new Toffees boss, and there is a deal ready to be done if the manager gives the green light.

Frustrated by the lack of minutes, he ended up joining Everton on a season-long loan last summer. The 24-year-old right-winger did not have that big a role in the team in the initial phase, but things have taken a turn since David Moyes took charge.

Everton could make Lindstrom move permanent

Jesper Lindstrom has been more of a regular feature in the team of late, and he has certainly managed to impress the boss. While he is yet to contribute towards a goal, Everton have started considering the possibility of making his loan spell permanent.

The Toffees have a purchase option worth £18.5 million and the report suggests there is a deal that is ready to be done. But, the final call will be that of David Moyes. While the 24-year-old has not lit up the world, he will only get better with time. He can feature on either flank, which can come in handy.

If Everton do trigger the purchase option, they will be signing someone who has a year’s experience of playing in the Premier League, which lowers the risk significantly. There are high chances that Jesper Lindstrom would be able to showcase his best version in his second season. While the Toffees have massive financial concerns, it is believed that triggering his buy clause won’t hamper them.
