Bournemouth interested in player with confusing contract situation – Things can take ‘unexpected turns’

Bournemouth’s long-term goalkeeping situation is quite uncertain.

Kepa is currently on loan from Chelsea and Mark Travers hasn’t shown enough quality to be first-choice at the club.

The Cherries could need a new goalkeeper soon and a name has emerged that is of interest to Bournemouth.

SerieANews have reported that the player in question is Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar, whose contract situation has not quite been sorted out. Despite speculation that talks are progressing, the outlet believe that no significant developments have taken place.

Roma want to keep the Serbian at the club but talks have not taken off with enough urgency. Svilar too is not in a hurry to make a decision about his future.

Tiago Pinto, who brought the 25-year-old to Rome, is at Bournemouth and is said to be interested in bringing him to the English south coast. There is also interest from Bayern Munich.

The report believes that if one of Bournemouth or Bayern Munich make the right offer for Svilar, the Giallorossi could be forced into a sale. The road to the renewal is becoming ‘uphill’ for the Italian giants and can take ‘unexpected turns’ in the near future.

This could help Andoni Iraola’s side to take advantage.
