
New highlights of 5-star Tennessee QB will have fans ready for him to sign
The future is so bright for Faizon Brandon.
When the Tennessee Vols football team was able to land the commitment of Faizon Brandon last August, plenty of people couldn’t believe it. Brandon is already being looked at as a generational talent, with the Vols beating out more than 20 teams for his verbal.
With there being buzz that Brandon could look at other schools, including UNC now that Bill Belichick is head coach, the 5-star quarterback has consistently shot down rumors he’s looking elsewhere. This offseason, Brandon has been busy at work already prepping for his senior campaign.
This included him putting on a show at the Nike’s Next Ones showcase. Thanks to 247’s Tom Loy, Tennessee fans have been given a close look at how talented the youngster is. Take a look at the highlights below and try to not be impressed.
5-star QB Faizon Brandon has an incredible future with the Tennessee Vols
While watching that video, you can see how effortlessly Brandon is able to throw the ball all over the field. He makes it look easy both with his short passes and the ones he sends downfield. There’s a reason he’s one of the top prospects in the country for his class.
Per 247Sports, Brandon is the No. 1 quarterback in the country and No. 1 prospect overall. Per the 247 Composite, he’s the No. 2 QB in the land and No. 5 player overall for the class. He chose Tennessee over Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami and many others.
Brandon was sensational with the ball in his hands this past season for his high school team, tossing for 2,159 yards and 27 touchdowns. He only had one interception last fall, while also adding eight rushing touchdowns. This kid is the real deal.
The 6-3, 197-pounder won’t be able to make things official with Tennessee until the Early Signing Period arrives in December. Several teams will keep working to flip him, but it will be for nothing. Brandon has passionately said he’s locked in with the Vols and people can’t wait to see what he’ll be able to get done in Knoxville in the future.
